NPC Spotlight - Onthar Frume

Today I’m introducing a new kind of post: the NPC spotlight. I’ll try to post these as the group encounters various NPCs of note. Since we haven’t really started with a first session, these first few will be on NPCs the characters know well before the campaign officially begins. So without further ado, Ontharr Frume!

Onthar Frume - Human Paladin

While boisterous and gregarious to a fault, Ontharr is a dedicated paladin of Torm, god of duty and loyalty. He proudly displays a gauntlet, Torm's symbol, on his armor and wears a matching gauntlet on his right hand. His home is the city of Elturel, capital of the young nation of Elturgard, located in the Western Heartlands. He was a member of the Companions, an order of paladins dedicated to protecting Elturgard, but retired a few years ago. Now he ventures across the Sword Coast spreading the message of Torm and looking for adventure. Of late, he has a particular interest in the Cult of the Dragon and their activities. While in Waterdeep, he met Gwen, the dwarf cleric of Lliira and quickly connected with her devoted nature. He asked her to travel to Greenest in search of rumors of increasing Cult of the Dragon activity. Gwen organized the party and arranged a payment from Ontharr. They left Waterdeep, heading quickly down the Tradeway in early spring before the trading season really begins. Ontharr broke off from the group to head to Elturel, leaving the group to head to Greenest alone.
