After fighting off some of the garbage monsters in the trash pit and climbing your way back to the upper area of the cave, you see a flurry of snowflakes appear before you. As the flurry coalesces, it takes the shape of an elf and shatters like a block of ice. Rather than breaking apart and crumbling to the floor, you see an elf with long, flowing black hair and pale skin. With a three-piece silver-grey suit with a pendant dangling down on a necklace. You realize he is taller than a normal elf and his pupils are vertical.

After some introductions, the party found that this elf was named Lord Tierndon (guest player) and was a member of the Unseelie Court of the Winter Fey. He asked the group to help him ruin an upcoming ball. He went on to explain the situation:

"You see," he explained, "Eons ago, we Fey Lords made an eternal pact to prevent Lord Wyntyr from ever hosting another party. So, every year, one of us finds some upstart adventurers to go sort out the mess."

"Why do you want to prevent the parties?" asked Lou.

"Hrm? Why don't we like his parties? Oh- they're simply terrible. He makes us do games and events. If I ever had to attend another White Elephant exchange, I think I would simply perish. Not to mention, he makes entirely too much marzipan, fruitcake, and eggnog. After that, you don't want to look at sweets for a century at least." Nonchalantly, he adds, "Plus- sending the Prime Material Plane into another Ice Age is just such a bore."

The threat of an ice age certainly got their attention. Our group of adventurers agreed to follow Lord Tierndon to the site of the party and they were transported through snow to find themselves near Lord Wyntyr's castle.

You see a tower that reaches into the skies, seemingly made of gold and white frost, and angry, blizzarding storm clouds with the occasional red bolt of lighting. The tower is surrounded by a pleasant-looking village made of German-style cottages with white walls, brown supports, and steeply-sloped rooftops. The village and tower tend to smell like cinnamon, peppermint, or eggnog.

Approaching the village, the group ran into two guards that turned out to be bipedal raindeer that Lord Tierndon identified as Paindeer. Recognizing Lord Tierndon as a threat, the paindeer made a flying charge toward the group, dealing their only major blows of the fight, knocking Gwen unconscious and nearly knocking Adolphus unconscious as well. The group was able to recover with the help of a Tides of Chaos aided chromatic orb from Moki that quickly dispatched one of the monsters. After dispatching the two paindeer, the group proceeded into the village.

Once in the village, the group found several gnomes wandering about town. Some were crafting materials, others cooking various things. Lou acquired some alcoholic beverage that he repurposed into a molotov cocktail. The group also met an elderly gnome dressed in a purple suede jacket with very wide lapels, white stockings and black clogs. The group convinced him that they needed to get inside to practice for the party because they were a troop of entertainers. Introducing himself as Edmund, the group was led into the main chamber through a side entrance and gnome-sized tunnels.

Sneaking into the chamber, the group caught their first glimpse of Lord Wyntyr. He was a giant man with blue, frosty skin and a white beard, dressed in a red jacket and hat. Adolphus, Thamior, Gwen, and Lord Tierndon (disguised) to parlay with Lord Wyntyr, while Lou, Moki, and Duckie stayed back, positioning themselves behind some pillars. Following a failed skill challenge to persuade Lord Wynter to not throw the party, the group attacked.

A very tough battle ensued. Moki had a wild magic event that caused her facial features to get all jumbled up. Several members of the party fell unconscious. Fortunately the group was able to come out on top and send Lord Wyntyr back to the Feywild.

The group went to inspect a large tome that was resting on a pedestal on top of a dais. The found that it was the "Book of Good and Evil" containing the good and bad deeds of everyone in the party. Lou (and his player) was very drunk and proceeded to read aloud the histories of each of the characters except himself and Duckie. Some of the group removed some minor transgressions, but were unable to remove some of the major wrongdoings of their past. Lord Tierndon also attempted to persuade Lou to sell his soul to him, but Lou was able to resist even the magical charms of the Fey.

Each member of the party received 100gp each and a potion of healing and was transported back to the cave where they had left. They had their hitpoints and spell slots completely restored as if having a long rest. Moki's face was also fixed. Lou also found a snowflake that wouldn't melt in his bag. When he touched it it spoke in his mind, "There is always a way to power, Lou. Should you desire it, simply call."
